It was great having some time off for Christmas. We took a small ride to Wolfboro the day before Christmas and had a late lunch at the Wolfboro Inn. Afterwards we got to see the sun setting on Lake Winnipesaukee.

It's been a long time since I posted on this blog. This morning I got a chance to take a small hike at the Gonic Trails, that lead to this water fall. There used to be a road out this way, there are bridge abutments and you can still see the dirt road. Hoping to get out more often, I had a lot of fun. These shots are mostly unprocessed, except by the camera when it converted from raw to jpg.

We spent last weekend in Falmouth visiting Mue's Aunt Marsha. Despite the heat and the humidy we had a great time. Hurricane Bill was off the coast and had brought all that tropical air up with it. Rained some, and was pretty much socked in every morning. So, sunrises were unimpressive, I was hoping for more. I posted a few of the photos at http://www.dgfphotos.com/

I had hoped to have some shots of a Tall Ship in Portsmouth this past weekend, but all the tall ship cruises were canceled. I did get to go to a car show in Kingston, NH with a friend. More photos here, click on this.. PHOTOS

It was raining....

Muriel and I have made it to North Woodstock, NH. Pouring rain most of the way here, but the rain has stopped for the most part. Hopefully some good weather tomorrow. This shot was taken at a scenic area on the Kancamagus Highway.

Got up early this morning, I mean early, around 3:30. I wanted to take a look at the completed Sculptures at Hampton Beach before they plow them down on Monday. Also I wanted to beat the crowds that are Hampton in the summer, and thought a Sunrise would add to the scene.

As I was driving down 101 it was looking promising, the sky was starting to color up quite nicely between Exeter going towards 95, but ten minutes later it was socked in, no sunrise. Light was limited, but usable and I got the shots. I have all of them at www.dgfphotos.com.

We went to check out the progress of the Sand Sculpture Contest at Hampton Beach, NH last night. Considering how much it rained during the day it was a great night. Fog rolled in towards the end, and the ocean was full of waves.

New arrival at the Maxwell's, about a week old here.
Miniature horses, mother looks on from behind.

Of course, Alysha had no trouble making friends with the little fillie.

Just haven't had the time I would like to get out there and take some shots.
The Lilacs are out though and I did manage to have some fun.

We were in NJ this past weekend, spring is ahead of us. We had some beautiful weather and the tree blossoms were full bloom.
Once you get away from Rt22, NJ is a beautful state, we always enjoy it while visiting.

Trip to Kittery, ME

On the way home we stopped to take a look at a giant chair made out of logs.
This is Alysha

She took a photo of us as well... made us. :o)

This is close to a park on a busy intersection just before the bridge over to Portsmouth, NH called Inspiration Park. They have started getting it ready, it is always a great place to visit when in the area.

They have lots of small touches that are fun to find.
